Temple of the Cenote

Perched next to the Sacred Well are the somewhat restored remains of a temple or other building.

When Edward Thompson dredged the Sacred Well, he mounted a large crane next to this temple. Later expeditions into the Sacred Cenote in the 1960s also used this platform as a staging area.
